Iran among world's top 10 countries in terms of scientific growth

Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution underlined while Iran only constitutes one percent of the world's population, accounts for about 2% of world science production and in terms of scientific growth, it is among the top 10 countries in the world.

Seyyed Saeed Reza Ameli, on Tuesday morning at the International Conference on 'The Capacity of the Islamic Revolution, The Efficiency and Record of the Islamic Republic of Iran', said, 'The Islamic Revolution of Iran was a great revolution that could change the scientific capacities of the country and increase self-confidence and scientific abilities.' 
The official stated that 98% of the scientific production of the University of Tehran and 95% of the scientific output of the Sharif University of Technology date back to the time of the Islamic Revolution. 
He added that “Before the revolution the universities of the country had 4,000 teachers, but now the number of university professors reaches 90,000. We need to strengthen the labor market in Iran in order to fully utilize human resources capacity”. 
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution said that today, there is a large capacity of Iran's famous figures in many parts of the world, which are the human capacities of the Islamic Revolution. For example, Iran ranked first in the Mathematics and Physics Olympiad, the world's third in chemistry and astronomy, and fourth in the world at the Computer Olympiad.
