Zionists rightly worried about not seeing 80th anniv: Ayatollah Khamenei

In a meeting with Ziyad al-Nakhalah, the Secretary General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement on June 14, 2023, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution congratulated the PIJ on its victory in the recent attack that was launched against Gaza.

During the meeting, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that the Zionist regime’s current condition is very different from 70 years ago.

"Today, the Zionist enemy is in a passive and reactive position. The present situation shows that the Resistance groups and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad have rightly identified the path and are proceeding wisely on it." he said.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized that it will not be possible to accomplish goals in big tasks and high targets unless the required risks are taken. He added, "Today, by the grace of God, the strength and credibility of the Palestinian Resistance groups and the Islamic Jihad are increasing and the recent defeat of the Zionist regime in the five-day war proves this."

Ayatollah Khamenei praised the PIJ for "passing the test" in the recent attack on Gaza. He underlined that the conditions for the Zionist regime have changed compared to that of seventy years ago and that the Zionist leaders are right to be concerned that they may not see the regime’s 80th anniversary.

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution also spoke about how the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Palestinian Resistance groups have found the main key to fight the Zionist regime.

"The growing power of the Resistance groups in the West Bank is the key to bringing the Zionist enemy to its knees, and this path must continue."

The Leader expressed his gratitude and appreciation towards the measures taken by the Palestinian Resistance groups. He thanked them for their united efforts in the political field and on the battlefields, underlining the importance of this action. He also emphasized that the Islamic Republic of Iran will continue to offer its support to the Palestinian people and to the Palestinian fighters.
